This Privacy Policy explains how Tunelo ("Tunelo", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Tunelo mobile application and website at tunelo.live (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

⚠️ This document is a starting template tailored to a music app. Before public launch and before processing payments, have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer and add your registered legal entity name and address.

1. Information We Collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on how you use Tunelo, this may include:

Account information: if you create an account — your name, email address, and authentication identifiers.
Usage data: songs you play, like, search for, and save offline, so we can power your library and recommendations.
Device & technical data: device model, operating system, app version, language, and approximate region, used for compatibility and to improve performance.
Subscription & payment data: when you subscribe, billing is handled by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or a payment provider. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not collect or store your full card details.
Diagnostics: crash and error logs to help us fix problems.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including offline playback and Data-Saver features.
To personalize your home feed, search, and recommendations.
To manage your subscription and provide customer support.
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.
To communicate important updates about the Service.

3. Offline Content & Local Storage

Tunelo's signature feature caches songs you play on your own device so they remain available offline. This cached audio and your library preferences are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to us. You can clear this data at any time from within the app or by uninstalling the app.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service. These may include:

Music hosting for tracks shared by independent artists.
Cloud hosting (e.g. Amazon Web Services) to deliver content and run our backend.
App stores (Apple App Store, Google Play) and payment providers for distribution and billing.
Analytics and crash-reporting tools to understand performance and fix bugs.

Each third party processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

7. Children's Privacy

Tunelo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users

Tunelo is operated from India and may process and store data in India and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and where appropriate, notify you in the app.
